From JFK International Airport, New York to Temple University

From Penn Station take the train to Philadelphia. Trains run on a regular basis so you do not need to make reservations, but if you want to make reservations to save money, see the Amtrak website. The cost of a train to Philadelphia ranges from $40.00 to $75.00. The train stops at 30th Street Station in Center City Philadelphia. Alternatively, you can take a bus, which may be cheaper.

At 30th Street Station call an Uber, Lyft, or taxi to your accommodation at Temple. This will cost about $10-$15 and will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes depending on traffic.

Alternatively, some JFK airport shuttle services operate shuttles from JFK Airport directly to Center City Philadelphia. Please make sure the shuttle service is legitimate by doing research and reading reviews before booking.

From Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Temple University

Take the AirTrain from the airport terminal to Newark Airport’s Amtrak Train Station.  

From Newark Airport Amtrak Station, take the train to Philadelphia 30th Street Station.   

At 30th Street Station call an Uber, Lyft, or taxi to your accommodation at Temple. This will cost about $10-$15 and will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes depending on traffic.

From Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) to Temple University

By train: Take SEPTA (commuter train) Airport Line to the Temple University station. The fare is approximately $6.50.
By Uber/Lyft/taxi: The cost from the airport to Temple University Main Campus is at least $30.00 (plus tip if taking a taxi).
