Most recreation services are included in your student fees, so take advantage!

Cheer for the Owls

One of the highlights of the U.S. university experience is college athletics, and Temple has a proud tradition of school spirit. Students get free admission to most on-campus sporting events, including football, basketball, soccer, and more.

Want to cheer for a team that quietly dominates? Temple Women’s Fencing is one of the university’s top-performing athletic programs – nationally ranked and regularly competing in NCAA championships. It is a great reminder that Temple pride extends far beyond the stadium.

Wear cherry and white, join the student section, and show your Temple pride! Learn more at Owl Sports.

Arts, Music, and Performance on Campus

Creativity thrives at Temple. You’ll find concerts, art exhibitions, and theater performances happening year-round. The Boyer College of Music and Dance and the Tyler School of Art and Architecture host performances and shows that are open to all students. Whether you’re an artist, musician, or just an appreciative audience member, you’ll always have opportunities to enjoy the arts.

For students who want to keep making music while abroad, Temple also offers opportunities to join ensembles like the Night Owls Campus Community Band. This large concert wind band brings together Temple students, staff, and members of the Philadelphia community to rehearse and perform a mix of standard wind literature and crowd-pleasing favorites. With no audition required, Night Owls is a welcoming space for musicians with at least two years of experience and their own instrument.
