Why did you choose Temple University’s DBMD program? What advantages does DBMD offer you over other graduate programs?
Firstly, it’s my first time living in an English environment, which I used to be afraid of. The open-minded feeling of Temple makes me feel more comfortable to break through my fear. Moreover, Temple’s DBMD program has helped me to be more efficient in obtaining my degree by pushing myself to learn more in a shorter period of time.

How has studying abroad for your master’s degree enhanced your skills and experience?
Studying abroad gave me the chance to meet people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, which has introduced me to new perspectives. After having courses in both the information technology and management fields in my undergraduate school, I realized that I’m more interested in information technology. As a result, I have been able to strengthen my knowledge in IST in a different education system through this master’s degree program.

What are your career plans?
I would like to devote myself to technology-related positions, such as data scientist, IT specialist, etc.

How will Temple help you achieve your career plans?
The CPT/OPT helps international students with starting careers in the United States. The College of Science and Technology also holds many events for students to make connections and discover professional opportunities. Also, Temple assists students by giving feedback on application documents and the professional practices of interviews. In sum, Temple has a complete work advising chain for helping students, from gaining knowledge about positions to getting a job offer.

Is there anything else you would like to share?
I’m enjoying immersing myself in this study environment and I feel that Temple cares about our experiences and difficulties. I received prompt help when I needed it, which I’m genuinely grateful for.
