Special Support for International Students

As a Global Programs student at Temple University, you have access to all of the support services and resources the university offers in addition to exceptional support from Global Programs staff and other student support services dedicated exclusively to international students.

Student Activities

The Student Activities office at Temple hosts events and activities throughout the school year and also oversees over 350 student organizations you'll have access to as a Temple student. Whether you're looking for an organization focused on cultural interests, professional development, or athletics, you're sure to find a student organization that meets your interests!

In addition, International Student Affairs (ISA) hosts many special events and programs to enable you to make friends, learn about other cultures, prepare for your career and adjust to the U.S. university experience.  Choose from a wide variety of programs including

Campus Recreation

Campus Recreation operates many recreational facilities and gyms across campus and also holds group fitness classes and events throughout the year. They also offer intramural sports year-round, a perfect opportunity to get involved and meet new friends. While studying at Temple, you'll have access to all of these facilities and opportunities, most of which are included in your cost of tuition and fees.

Athletic Events

One of the highlights of the U.S. university experience is athletics, and Temple offers you a wealth of opportunities to join the crowd and cheer on the Temple Owls, from football to basketball to soccer and more. Best of all, Temple students receive free admission to most on-campus athletic events!

Student Success Center

At Temple, you'll also have access to a wide range of resources to help you succeed with your academics. The Student Success Center offers academic help, including writing and STEM tutoring, graduate student services, and the Language Lounge, which provides opportunities for English language learners to practice speaking and listening in English, including meeting with a Conversation Partner.

Top Research Library

The Charles Library ranks among the top university research libraries in North America and offers you access to millions of print and electronic resources to assist with your studies. The state-of-the-art Charles Library, which opened in the fall of 2019, is the centerpiece of campus, home to study spaces, academic resources, and the BookBot, the library's automated storage and retrieval system.
